Admitted
to the Oregon State Bar in 1977, he has practiced law in Eugene
continuously since that time. Dan works in both state and
federal court, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals,
and in 1981 was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme
Court. Over the years, Dan has represented hundreds of individuals
and businesses before juries with enviable results. He has
also had success before various appellate courts, including
an undefeated record in his cases before the Oregon Supreme
Court.
For the past 20 years, Dan
has received the prestigious “AV” rating, the
highest rating available for attorneys, from the Martindale-Hubbell
Law Directory Service, widely regarded as the leading American
attorney ranking service.
In his spare time,
Dan has served on the Board of Directors for many nonprofit
agencies serving the Eugene-Springfield area. He has also
worked for years as a volunteer baseball and basketball coach
for area youth. Dan enjoys competitive running and has participated
in marathons, road races and track meets throughout the country,
earning many awards in age-group competition. Dan has two
children and two stepchildren.
